Happy New Year! As this year begins I look ahead with hope in the difference a year can make. Last night as we were all ringing in the new year, Gavin turned to me said, "Next year it'll be six!" (as in the number of members in our family) It warmed my heart to think of the possibility and that he so tenderly thought of it too.

Over the advent season I was asked to do a reading at one of the services. Part of it centered around waiting...and how "the wait is almost over." It continued on with encouragement, "Instead of waiting, what if we began a journey of hope..." I liked that thought. Waiting is inactive and passive. A journey is taking part and moving forward with hope in what lies ahead.

We are officially #28 for December (#27 unofficially). Yearning that we get to know who our daughter is soon on this incredible journey of hope!

  2. I love this message of "a journey of hope" and not just waiting. So many things happen on the journey and I know you don't want to miss a minute of it just "waiting around!" My wishes are with you and your little girl and that your paths may cross soon on your journey.
